Golf - south africa There are several outstanding golf regions in South Africa, here you can combine the best championship golf resorts with great wildlife viewing with the best wine estates, each offering a different experience. These regions can be combined in one tour to offer a greater experience or altered to suit individual requirements. The golf tours are based on a minimum of 4 golfers participating. Non playing partners can also be accommodated and a program devised for them!

On arrival at the OR Tambo international airport, you will meet the tour manager and then depart with luxury coach to Sun City, 2 hours away. You will check into a luxury suite at the Palace Hotel at the Lost City. Leisure afternoon, enjoy some of the many activities at the resort, there’s the valley of waves, water world, hot air ballooning, the casino and Superbowl for exciting shows! Today is set aside for game viewing, there will be a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive, in between, relax at the lodge with great viewing from your balcony with lunch served. Bush dinner under the stars tonight!

Early morning game drive, then after breakfast we depart to O.R Tambo airport in Johannesburg for your connecting flight out.

Today is a leisure day to discover Cape Town. We’ll check out of the Steenberg Hotel and make our way to Cape Town City, weather permitting we shall take the cable car up Table Mountain. From the mountain we’ll do a city tour and then enter the V&A Waterfront. Here we will check into the 5* Table Bay Hotel. This afternoon and evening we’ll explore the waterfront with its many shops and great restaurants. Dinner is for own account. Cape Town offers many other exciting options as well, from boutique shops, designer jewellery, casino’s and gourmet restaurants!

After breakfast we’ll depart the Waterfront and make our way to Cape Point, also known as the Cape of Good Hope. From here we’ll now head for the ‘wine & cuisine capital’ of South Africa, Franschoek, where the French Huguenots have been cultivating wine since the late 1600’s. Today these wines are world renowned. We check in at the 5* Mont Rochelle Hotel & Wine Estate. Dinner for own account.

We overnight again at Mont Rochelle, with a wine tasting and dinner included.Pearl Valley, part of the Val de Vie estate is another Jack Nicklaus signature course and has hosted numerous South African Open Golf Championship Tournaments in its short history and has already moved to number 3 in South Africa after Leopard Creek and the Links. The course definitely deserves its top ranking!

This morning we tee off for 18 holes at the Pezula Golf Course with its spectacular views over the Indian Ocean and Knysna Lagoon! After golf we return to our hotel. The afternoon we’ll visit the Knysna waterfront and take a sunset cruise on board the Knysna paddle cruiser and a lovely way to see the lagoon and the Knysna heads, the heads is where the ocean enters the lagoon. Today starts with an exciting bush walk with a ranger, here you will find all the major animals of Africa, and the little ones as well. Your guide will show and explain everything to you. Return for breakfast and then relax, enjoy a spa treatment before you leave on a game drive in the afternoon.

These courses are divided into three regions, Sun City and Pilansberg National Park are in the north of the country and fall into the hot summer rainfall area, with humid, hot thunderstorms from December to March. Best time to visit Sun City from April through to November.

Cape Town and Garden Route are in the winter rainfall area, from May to August is wet and cold. Best time to visit Cape Town and Garden Route, September to April. December is peak holiday season in Cape Town. *Each venue, estate, golf course, game reserve and hotels offers a unique and totally different experience. *Requirements; All golf courses require proper golfing attire with soft rubber spike shoes, no steel spikes allowed. Golf clubs can be hired.

*For extra activities: Helicopter flights around Cape Town and Garden Route. Yacht charters around Cape Town we have several large, motorized yachts catering for groups up to 20 per yacht. Yachts can be chartered per hour or per day. Sailing is restricted around the peninsula, and weather permitting. *For yacht charters around Knysna on the Garden Route we use the large 16m Catamarans, catering for 12 pax per boat. Sailing is also depended on weather and sea conditions.

*Deep sea fishing options are from Cape Town or Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route. The boats used will depend on what fish species is being fished. Normally only 4 fisherman per boat.

*Shark cage diving is offered in Mossel Bay on the Garden Route! Whale watching can be done from Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route.
