This morning is an early departure from Buhala for a morning game drive in Kruger on our open safari vehicles en route to the unique unfenced 9-hole Skukuza Golf club! Here we will enjoy only 9 holes before catching our flight from Skukuza airfield to Johannesburg.

GOLF – WINE - WILDLIFE

This tour will combine golf at the championship courses around Cape Town with visits to the excellent wine estates in the area, with an option to visit a wildlife reserve nearby.On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will meet your tour manager and then depart for the 5* Steenberg Golf & Wine Estate. The wine estate dates back to 1685 and is the second oldest wine farm in South Africa and only 30 minutes from Cape Town City.

Depending on our arrival time we can visit the wine cellars after checking in! Dinner is included at the restaurant. DBB

Today is a leisure day to discover Cape Town. We’ll check out of the Steenberg Hotel and make our way to Cape Town City, weather permitting we shall take the cable car up Table Mountain. From the mountain we’ll do a city tour and then enter the V&A Waterfront. Here we will check into the 5* Table Bay Hotel. This afternoon and evening we’ll explore the waterfront with its many shops and great restaurants. Dinner is for own account. Cape Town offers many other exciting options as well, from boutique shops, designer jewellery, casino’s and gourmet restaurants!

After breakfast we’ll depart the Waterfront and make our way to Cape Point, also known as the Cape of Good Hope. From here we’ll now head for the ‘wine & cuisine capital’ of South Africa, Franschoek, where the French Huguenots have been cultivating wine since the late 1600’s. Today these wines are world renowned. We check in at the 5* Mont Rochelle Hotel & Wine Estate. Dinner for own account.

This morning we’ll tee off on the Pearl Valley Course for 18 holes. We overnight again at Mont Rochelle, with a wine tasting and dinner included.Pearl Valley, part of the Val de Vie estate is another Jack Nicklaus signature course and has hosted numerous South African Open Golf Championship Tournaments in its short history and has already moved to number 3 in South Africa after Leopard Creek and the Links. The course definitely deserves its top ranking!

Our last Golf Day, to be played on the Erinvale Championship course. We overnight again at Mont Rochelle, but tonight we’ll have dinner at one of the gourmet restaurants in Franschoek! Dinner tonight for own account. BB

Leisure morning, maybe a visit in town before we depart for the airport and your flight out. OR optional wildlife safari.

This option includes the Sanbona Private Game Reserve in the semi-arid Karoo, about 2 hours’ drive from Cape Town and the winelands. This Game Reserve is very different to the Bushveld areas of Pilansberg or the grasslands of Shamwari but offers a unique wildlife experience! And close to Cape Town!

For this add on you will depart the winelands on Day 7 after breakfast and head inland to Sanbona where we check into their luxury tent camp! Sanbona is a large, big 5 game reserve, with animals reintroduced after an absence of over 200 years! It’s also a non-profit organization with all income going back into conservation! A game drive is included this afternoon, with dinner at the camp.

GOLF & WILDLIFE on the GARDEN ROUTE

This golf tour will be on the spectacular Garden Route of South Africa which is 500km’s to the East of Cape Town and includes a visit to the luxury Garden oute Private Game Reserve. Four golf courses will be played on this tour. These are the Links and Montagu courses at Fancourt Estate, Pezula at Knysna and the Pinnacle course in Mossel Bay.

Arrive O.R. Tambo airport in Johannesburg, clear customs, collect your luggage and meet your tour manager and golf professional, then transfer to domestic departure for a 2 hour flight to George on the Garden Route, from there we travel by coach, less than 1 hour to Knysna and the 5* Pezula Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Dinner at the hotel this evening for own account. BB

This morning we tee off for 18 holes at the Pezula Golf Course with its spectacular views over the Indian Ocean and Knysna Lagoon! After golf we return to our hotel. The afternoon we’ll visit the Knysna waterfront and take a sunset cruise on board the Knysna paddle cruiser and a lovely way to see the lagoon and the Knysna heads, the heads is where the ocean enters the lagoon. Dinner is included on board! DBB

This morning we depart Knysna and head for Fancourt, an hours’ drive, here we will check into the 5* Fancourt Hotel on the Fancourt Estate. This afternoon we’ll play 18 holes on the Montagu course, dinner included at the hotel this evening. The Fancourt estate hosts 3 Championship golf courses and is the biggest of its kind in South Africa. DBB

This morning we will be playing the Links course at Fancourt, rated No. 1 in South Africa and one of only two Links courses in South Africa. Leisure afternoon. Dinner at our hotel. DBB

This morning we depart from Fancourt after breakfast and head for the Pinnacle Golf Estate in Mossel Bay for 18 holes, less than an hour’s drive from Fancourt. Pinnacle Point has been rated best golf course in South Africa for many years!

After our golf at Pinnacle, we’ll now head for the Gondwana Private Game Reserve, only 30 minutes away. Relax at the spa, or on the deck, dinner included. Full board, including game drives. The luxury 5* Gondwana Private Game Reserve, is a malaria free area, pleasant climate and suitable for year round visiting. The reserve is a 1 hour drive away from George.

Today starts with an exciting bush walk with a ranger, here you will find all the major animals of Africa, and the little ones as well. Your guide will show and explain everything to you. Return for breakfast and then relax, enjoy a spa treatment before you leave on a game drive in the afternoon.

Included on this tour: All accommodation, breakfast and dinners, halfway house lunch on the golf course, golf and green fees, caddies and golf carts, transfers in luxury coach with tour manager, bottled water. At Garden Route Game Lodge all meals, game drives and excursions.

*Group size will determine the vehicle used. For a minimum of 4 playing golfers we use an 8 seater luxury mini bus with tour manager/driver. For larger groups we use a larger bus with a driver and tour manager. There is no difference in pricing.

*Where dinners are included, no alcoholic drinks or wine is included. Exception is where dinner is coupled to wine pairing.

*The above golfing tours are all part of our Premier luxury 5* options. These tours can also be offered on a 4* accommodation option.

*Note that we also offer special VIP services, but these are on demand.

*One of our exclusive golf services is the inclusion of our golf professional, who is also a master golf instructor and affiliated to the WGTF (World Golf Teachers Federation). He would accompany the players and offer his free advice and expertise. This applies to groups of 8 or more golfers.

*Small groups can be accommodated on short notice, but for larger groups early booking is essential. Note that some of our luxury lodges only have 10 rooms.

*At the time of booking certain hotels might not be available for our time slot, or the season might not be suitable, we will then adjust the itinerary accordingly. If we need to offer a different hotel, it will always be of the same excellent standards.

*The above mentioned golf courses are of the best in South Africa, and the accommodation offered are all premier 5* There are over a hundred golf courses in South Africa, all offering different experiences, but these chosen here are all championship courses and rated in the top 10 best courses in South Africa and offer great diversity!

These courses are divided into three regions, Sun City and Pilansberg National Park are in the north of the country and fall into the hot summer rainfall area, with humid, hot thunderstorms from December to March. Best time to visit Sun City from April through to November.

Cape Town and Garden Route are in the winter rainfall area, from May to August is wet and cold. Best time to visit Cape Town and Garden Route, September to April. December is peak holiday season in Cape Town. *Each venue, estate, golf course, game reserve and hotels offers a unique and totally different experience. *Requirements; All golf courses require proper golfing attire with soft rubber spike shoes, no steel spikes allowed. Golf clubs can be hired.

*For extra activities: Helicopter flights around Cape Town and Garden Route. Yacht charters around Cape Town we have several large, motorized yachts catering for groups up to 20 per yacht. Yachts can be chartered per hour or per day. Sailing is restricted around the peninsula, and weather permitting. *For yacht charters around Knysna on the Garden Route we use the large 16m Catamarans, catering for 12 pax per boat. Sailing is also depended on weather and sea conditions.

*Deep sea fishing options are from Cape Town or Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route. The boats used will depend on what fish species is being fished. Normally only 4 fisherman per boat.

*Shark cage diving is offered in Mossel Bay on the Garden Route! Whale watching can be done from Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route.
