Flight into Johannesburg, meet and depart with flight to Upington, check into hotel. Vehicles have been packed and ready. Over dinner you are briefed on the tour ahead.
After an early breakfast the vehicles are tested and you get acquainted with yours. Depart Upington and head for the Kalahari. We travel to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, we enter the Park and head for our first overnight camp. Mainly highway and no 4x4 work.
Today we engage our 4x4 and head out into the wilderness on the Botswana side of the park, traveling is all day, stopping for breaks along the way. Our campsite is reached early afternoon; we set up camp around the Sesatswe pan. These are sites with no facilities, we have to bring everything with!
We leave the pan and head for our next overnight stop at Rambuka pan, with stops along the way, and assisting those getting stuck!
Today we head for Polentswa, still on the Botswana side and set camp. Relax in camp, take a drive around the area.
Our last morning on the Botswana trail as we head back to the South African side and head down towards Nossob, we replenish our stocks before leaving for an overnight stop at Bitterpan, with some good 4x4 work!
We relax at our camp today, watching the animals drinking at the waterhole.
From Bitterpan we head south to Tweerivieren where we camp for the last night in the Park.
Depart the park and travel to the !Khomani San who live only a short distance away in their section of the Park. Tonight we enjoy their singing and dancing around the fire.
Early morning walk with the Bushman to the veld where they will show us their ancient bush skills. Remainder of the day for leisure. Last night in the Kalahari under the stars!
We leave the Bushman and head back to Upington for our flight out the afternoon.
This is a hands on tour, with guests assisting in camp duties.
