Cape Town to Namibia
15 Day Safari from Cape Town to Windhoek. Enjoy the Cape, Table Mountain, the Winelands, Cape Point and the Whales! From Cape Town we head North to the Namaqualand coast where we transfer to Donkey carts for a hike along the coast. From there we head to the Orange river and the Richtersvels National Park. Here we transfer to our boats for a trip downstream along the Orange river through the Richtersveld park, which now forms the transfrontier park with Namibia’s Fish river canyon. We travel through this area, into Namibia and on to the Fish river canyon, the 2nd largest canyon in the world!
After the canyon the safari heads east for the Gemsbok National Park in South africa, this forms part of the greater Kgalgadi transfrontier park with Botswana, and is in the Kalahari, also the land of the Meerkats! After the Kalahari the safari heads back into Namibia and heads for Windhoek where the tour ends, or joins with another!.
DAY 1
Arrive Cape Town and transfer to our hotel in the Waterfront. Dinner for own account. BB

DAY 2
Depart for a tour to Cape Point, visiting the penguin colony outside Simonstown on route. BB |
DAY 3
A visit up table mountain in the morning and a wine tasting the afternoon at the oldest estate in South Africa, Groot Constantia. BB |
DAY 4
Today we travel to Hermanus on the south coast, 2 hrs from Cape Town to watch the whales, either from the shore or an optional boat trip. Here the whales sometimes come right into shore, only meters from the rocks! BB |
DAY 5
We depart Cape Town and head North to Namaqualand, famous for it’s wild flowers in Spring, August / September. On the coast we transfer to our donkey carts! We hike and camp along the coast for the next few days. DBB |

DAY 8
Today we leave our donkeys and head for the Richtersveld Park, we travel through the park to the Orange river and set up camp. LDBB |
DAY 9
Early depart down the river, stopping for our overnight camp. LDBB |
DAY 10
We arrive at our final destinations, leave the boats and hop back into the vehicle for our trip to the Fish river canyon. Accommodation at the lodge! LDBB. |
DAY 11
We explore the canyon. DBB |
DAY 12
We leave the canyon and head east for the Kalahari, we overnight at Tweerivieren camp. An optional night drive can be done. BB. Dinner at the camp restaurant for own account. |
DAY 13
We do a game drive in the park, heading for Nossob, overnight Tweerivieren again. BB |
DAY 14
Game drive while we head for our last camp, Mata Mata. Our last night here will be a BBQ! |
DAY 15
We leave the Kalahari, enter Namibia again and head for Windhoek, overnight here if joining another tour or go straight to airport for connecting flight the evening. BB.
